헌신적이고 상냥한 간병인인 이치코는 오랫동안 오이쇼가의 할머니를 돌보면서 큰 딸 모토코와 친 가족 같은 관계로 지낸다.
우연히 모토코의 여동생 사키가 실종되는 사건이 발생하고, 사건의 실체가 드러나면서 이치코는 곤란한 지경에 처하게 된다.
